Offerings at Shamanka Rock

A viewer searches the night sky near the top of Shamanka Rock on Olkhon island. The rock is a sacred place from the beginning of time. Legend tells that the first (and greatest) shaman to descend to earth chose this spot to become his home. Coloured cloths with prayers as offerings are all around the place on trees and special posts, like these in the area. Lake Baikal, Siberia, Russia.
